Tom Plug fell in love with HR, as he likes to put it, in the late nineties when he was a field manager for Dutch IT Company Pink Elephant.
Since then he has held several HR roles like recruitment manager and HR manager both in profit and not-for-profit organizations.
For the past 11 years he has been working for KPN, the leading supplier of ICT services in The Netherlands.
As lead HR Strategy & Innovation he initiated, implemented and further developed the organization’s strategic HR program The Future of Work, a more effective alternative for the classic Sustainable Employability approach.
What drives Tom is creating maximum value by enabling employees to do the things they’re best at, they are passionate about and that are relevant for others.
For him that combination is the key to success and becoming futureproof.
