As Global Director -External Technology Innovation / R&D, Luis is in charge of creating new models for innovation and external collaboration at Johnson & Johnson.
In this role, he orchestrates the creation of new ecosystems, inspiring engagement for collaborative Innovation with established or new relationships augmenting development capabilities and bringing solutions faster to consumers.
Luis brings commercial creativity to the external innovation space. He is recognized as a builder of opportunities; creating access to breakthrough technologies for Johnson & Johnson. He also invests his passion for innovation enabling new business models and technologies as Angel Investor, advisory board and as entrepreneur’s coach.
With over 20 years of professional experience in FMCG, Pharma, and OTC; Luis has held leadership positions within Novartis Pharma, Procter & Gamble, and cooperated with numerous Fortune 500 companies.
Luis earned an MBA degree from the Metropolitan University and a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Simón Bolívar University, both in Caracas, and has participated in executive development programs from Harvard, MIT and Babson College and is fluent in English and Spanish.
