Carol de Vries has more than 14 years of experience in the Automotive industry. Since June 2019 he is working as a independent consultant.

He joined Sensata in 2015 leading the product family High temperature Sensors and after that the Contactor and Fuses activities for EV.

Before (2006) that he was the VP for R&D in the automotive Business Unit of NXP semiconductors. During that period he was actively involved in various consortia on vehicle to vehicle communication and in car radar.

Prior to joining NXP, Carol held different positions in Philips in the areas of semiconductors, passive components (including automotive), consumer electronics , professional imaging and research.

Before joining Philips in 1982 he studied Plasma Physics at the University of Eindhoven.
