Health and Safety in the workplace remain to one of the leading overhead expenses and key issues amongst employers and companies. Organisations are continuing to implement new HSE programs and policies to meet issues and continued success. They need to be flexible during the adaption of the new policies. Health and safety legislation is tightening. Therefore, companies are taking steps to improve the health and safety in the workplace.

The multi-generational workforce is reshaping the organizational culture, management, and the whole business. For Millennials and later generations accommodation companies are redesigning jobs and workspace.

Stress has become a fact of life for today’s average employee—whether it is caused by increasing workplace demands, a changing industrial workforce organizational environment, or economic hardships. Stress in the workplace is an ongoing trend that seems to impact employees and employers in all workplace settings.

Current advancements in technology let companies analyse the huge amount of usable EHS and sustainability data, consequently, they are working on tying all corporate data for better risk management, workforce planning, and decisions making.

Companies are developing and leveraging the internal risk management programmes, risk management data, and effectiveness of risks reduction. Many companies are using predictive analytics for risk management development. Telematics is also integrating for the risks mitigation. It provides HSE professionals real-time metrics. IoT, cutting-edge workplace safety tools and applications are integrating into HSE programs for greater efficiency in operations. The mobile revolution has catalysed the rise of microlearning. This approach optimizes knowledge retention and allows employees to use mobile devices to consume key safety training content. New risks have appeared due to safety technologies leverage; therefore, organizations need to implement security practices, new HSE technologies that safeguard PII and provide security.
